The Hyde’s volunteers provide meaningful support to the Museum’s programming and activities. Volunteers make it possible for The Hyde to offer educational programming for students of all ages, plan exciting trips and social events, and deliver an exceptional experience to our visitors.



The Hyde offers academic year and summer internship placement for college and university students as needed. Opportunities are posted on this page as they become available. If you are interested in an internship at The Hyde, please contact 518-792-1761, ext. 310 or adminassist@hydecollection.org.

Volunteer Gardeners

Every other Monday, 8am – 9:30am
Call now to volunteer for the Spring!

We are looking for volunteer gardeners to help out in The Hyde Butterfly garden this spring. No experience needed. You will be working with others who will help you get started. Activities include maintaining the flower beds, weeding, and some watering. Please bring your own kneeling pad, gloves, bucket for weeds, a trowel, and a claw (hand cultivator).
