FEBRUARY 23 – Picture Pieces
Join Artist-in-Residence Kate Patterson in creating a narrative artwork inspired by special exhibition Colorama. Using images from existing printed sources, participants will compose a collage image investigating mechanics of visual storytelling through color and design.
MARCH 16 – Color Connections
Kate Patterson returns for another class inspired by the special exhibition Colorama. By layering transparent materials, participants will create an image in reverse that will unfold into a beautiful and refined composition of shape and color.
APRIL 27 – Painting and Perspective
Join Artist-in-Residence Kate Patterson to paint a panoramic landscape. Explore the basics of color theory and perspective as it applies to the production of a painted landscape with the illusion of depth.
