APRIL 27 – Painting and Perspective
Join Artist-in-Residence Kate Patterson to paint a panoramic landscape. Explore the basics of color theory and perspective as it applies to the production of a painted landscape with the illusion of depth.

MAY 18 – Inspired by John Sloan
Inspired by the John Sloan exhibition, discuss Sloan’s artwork with artist-in-residence Takeyce Walter, then reproduce your own artwork under Walter’s guidance. Students can use pastels, watercolor, or charcoal, to create inspired by John Sloan imagery.

June 22 – Inspired by John Sloan
Inspired by the John Sloan exhibition, discuss Sloan’s artwork with artist-in-residence Takeyce Walter, then reproduce your own artwork under Walter’s guidance. Students can use pastels, watercolor, or charcoal, to create inspired by John Sloan imagery.

July 20 – Plein Air Landscape
Inspired by John Sloan, join artist-in-residence Takeyce Walters for a workshop that focuses how to reproduce the colors seen in the plein air landscape. Students will create their own plein air paintings and learn how to recognize shifts of color concerning temperature, value, and saturation.

Supplies are included. All experience levels welcome.
