Tour the Museum
Tours of Hyde House and special exhibitions are available Friday – Sunday at 1 and 2 pm. Tours are also available on Tuesday at 1 and 2 pm during the month of August. All tours meet in the Museum lobby and are free with museum admission.
Themed tours that focus on American Art and Artists, Dutch and Flemish Art, Fables, Myths, and Legends, or The Renaissance are available by request. General and theme tours may be scheduled outside of the weekend tour hours by contacting June Leary, curator of education at 518-792-1761, ext. 327 or email@example.com.

Dial and Discover Guide by Cell Audio Tour
Take a self-guided tour of Hyde House. Use your cell phone to learn about the Museum’s history and collection. Call 518-832-1189 and follow the instructions. Free, except for cell phone minutes.
Orientation Video - The Hyde Collection
Learn about the history of The Hyde Collection, the Hyde family, their home, and art collection. Run time: 13 minutes. Location: Birdsall Gallery, second floor, Hyde House
Each month, a new guide is available to families to use in exploring special exhibitions or Hyde House. Pick up your free Discovery Guide at the Program Desk anytime the Museum is open.
Specially designed to enhance discussion about what children see when touring Hyde House, our Family Kits provide an opportunity for an interactive self-guided tour for the entire family. Families can borrow the colorful kits free of charge. Use them to learn more about visiting a museum and about different ways to view and enjoy what they see. Ask a Hyde Volunteer or Museum Store staff for the kit.
The Artist’s Studio
Children's art-making, dress-up, and reading space on the lower level of the museum. Free
