Volunteer

Volunteers make it possible for The Hyde to offer a variety of educational programming for all ages, plan exciting trips and social events, and provide exceptional experiences to our visitors from our local communities and beyond.

We are seeking volunteers to help in the Museum Store and at the Admissions and Membership Desks during the Modern Nature: Georgia O'Keeffe and Lake George exhibition, June 15 - September 15, 2013.

  • Store volunteers will assist customers, keep the shelves stocked, and assist staff with general
    store tasks.
  • Volunteers at Admissions will help welcome our visitors, answer questions, and assist with traffic control
  • Membership Desk volunteers will check-in and welcome members, answer questions, and promote/sell  Museum memberships.

Each of these positions requires excellent interpersonal skills, as well as some clerical and/or retail experience. Generally, volunteers will be asked to commit to a minimum of a 3-4 hour shift once a week.
