Hyde House Downstairs Guest Room:
Willard Leroy Metcalf’s oil on canvas Late Autumn, will be replacing Metcalf's Zuni Indians, 1883, a gouache on paper.
Hamilton's The Fog Warning of 1887 has replaced Winslow Homer's Mending the Tears.
This rare and monumental image was etched after an 1884 painting by Homer. The presence of Homer’s
signature in both the plate and the lower left margin indicate that he was
closely involved in its creation.
Hyde House Green Guest Room:
Elihu Vedder's Arabian Slave is a deeply modeled, highly empathetic relief sculpture of an elaborately turbaned subject probably based on The Thousand and One Nights, also known as The Arabian Nights.
Vedder's Viterbo, a charcoal on paper will also be installed.
Henri Matisse's drawing Seated Nude will replace Renoir's Coco while it is on loan to the Rahr-West Museum in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
