Hyde Hires Director of DevelopmentThe Hyde Collection is pleased to announce Deborah J. Lee as the Museum's Director of Development. Debbie comes to The Hyde with extensive non-profit experience in the field of education where she has held a variety of senior development, marketing, and management positions. She is responsible for soliciting and securing fundraising support through grant writing, memberships, sponsorships, the annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, and special events for the Museum.
Her last position was a Director of Development at Norwich Free Academy Foundation, Inc. in Norwich, Connecticut, where she managed the operations of the NFA Foundation and directed all aspects of development, constituent relations and communications. She also coordinated fundraising programs for the Slater Memorial Museum, among other duties.
From 1995 to 1998 Ms. Lee had previously worked as Director of Alumni and Development at The Williams School, New London, Connecticut; from 1994 through 1995 at the Kingswood-Oxford School, West Hartford, Connecticut, as the Director of the Alumni Fund; from 1991 through 1993 at Capital Repertory Company, Albany, New York, as Director of Development and Acting Business Manager; and from 1984 through 1991 as The Albany Academy, Albany, New York, as Director of Institutional Advancement.
Originally from the Glens Falls region, Debbie holds a B.A. from New York State University College at Buffalo, 1979.
