Hyde’s Summer Lecture Series Continues with Nina Gray, Tiffany Glass Expert
On Sunday, July 29, 2012, The Hyde Collection is pleased to present Nina Gray, consulting curator, architectural historian, and co-author of A New Light on Tiffany: Clara Driscoll and the Tiffany Girls. Beginning at 2pm in the Froehlich Auditorium, Ms. Gray’s lecture, Glass of All Hues and Colors: Clara Driscoll and the Tiffany Girls – The Glass Selectors at Tiffany Studios, is in support of The Hyde’s summer exhibition, Tiffany Glass: Painting with Color and Light, which was organized by the Neustadt Collection, and sponsored by VisitLakeGeorge.com. The lecture is free with Museum admission.
Tiffany Glass: Painting with Color and Light is part of The Hyde’s "Summer of Light" which also includes Stephen Knapp: New Light in the Wood Gallery. Both exhibitions opened on June 17, 2012 and will run through September 16, 2012.
Formerly a decorative arts curator at The Neustadt Collection of Tiffany Glass, New York, Ms. Gray received her master’s degree from The Institute of Fine Arts at New York University and trained in the curatorial studies program of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. She was formerly curator of the architecture, photography, prints, and decorative arts collections at the New-York Historical Society. Ms. Gray has written and lectured extensively on various aspects of Tiffany's career.
