Mother's Day at The Hyde

GLENS FALLS, N.Y. – Mother’s Day is a day to celebrate Moms and all of the women who have shaped our lives. The Hyde Collection invites all mothers and their families to enjoy free admission on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10.
Among the nearly 4,000 works of European and American art in The Hyde’s permanent collection are several celebrating the art of motherhood through the ages, including Giovanni Battista Tiepolo’s Madonna and Child with St. Catherine and Infant St. John the Baptist and Lucca Della Robbia’s Madonna of the Lilies.
If you’re visiting The Hyde this weekend, you’ll also have an opportunity to marvel at the 100 works of art on display by some of Northern New York’s most talented high school artists. The Annual Juried High School Art Show runs until May 31.
Don’t miss the exhibition of American photography from the collection of television journalist George Stephanopoulos and his family. Click! Selections from George Stephanopoulos Collection presents work by 12 artists, representing a sample of more than 120 works recently donated to The Hyde by Mr. Stephanopoulos. Click! will be on view until May 31.
