Hyde House Stairwell:
Our Thomas Eakin's Portrait of Henry O. Tanner, has returned from San Francisco and is back on view. The painting was on loan to the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco's exhibition Jewel City, Art from San Francisco's Panama-Pacific International Exhibition. The Tanner portrait was originally shown at the exposition in 1915.
Hyde House Green Guest Room:
Madonna and Child, 1464-1480, is a brush and ink work heightened with white on brown paper, and is (after) Andrea Mantegna. Pieter de Molijn's Landscape from 1626 is a charcoal drawing of the Dutch countryside.
Oranges (Axsom 33), 1960, a lithograph by Ellsworth Kelly, and part of The Feibes & Schmitt Collection, was recently installed and will only be on view for a short time.
